Synopsis:



I was motivated to write this current article after reading a post in my Facebook news feed where a user accused other Facebook members of lacking compassion, simply because they had the audacity to refer to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS as illegals. What?! Well, now just wait a minute there folks! Excuse me, but what else are we supposed to call such individuals who purposely and knowingly choose to disrespect and break our laws, and who enter our country without the proper paperwork and the proper government authorization, if not ILLEGALS? It makes me shake my head! Oh, wait! I know what we should do! Let’s refer to them by a more politically correct term. You know, something like "undocumented immigrants". After all, this term has a much nicer ring to it, don't you think? It also kind of conceals the fact -- not really, unless one is just plain stupid -- that they ILLEGALLY snuck into our country.

My friends, what a complete load of nonsense! Such persons are NOT immigrants. Real immigrants follow a very specific, government-designed, legal procedure for entering a nation so that they can eventually reside there permanently. Well, in case a person has simply been sleeping under a rock for the past number of years, these individuals who the liberals want to call "undocumented immigrants" did NOT do that. Many of them are simply illegal fences-hoppers. Now, to be fair and balanced in my opinion here, I will recognize that some of these people did enter our country the proper, legal way.

However, then what did some of them do after that? They blew their government-approved temporary legal status, when for whatever their reasons, they chose to overstay their visas. Thus, no matter how you look at it, the end result is that they are still in our country ILLEGALLY. Maybe they were afraid that their visas would not be renewed. Who knows. But that is life, my friends. Sometimes you win, while at other times you lose. It is entirely up to the immigration officials to determine whether or not a person continues to meet the requirements to remain within the country legally. If not, then as a temporary guest in our country, it's that individual's legal responsibility to leave immediately. It is NOT their right to intentionally break the law so that they can remain longer. It is just as simple as that.

We see so many liberals whining and complaining about how unloving and lacking in compassion Conservatives are. "Oh what meanies! Just look at how they treat those poor people! They have no mercy whatsoever! They certainly aren’t acting in a very Christian manner!" I say "Hogwash!". The ILLEGALS fully understood the risk they were taking when they snuck into our country ILLEGALLY. They knew full well that they might get caught. They knew in their hearts that what they were doing was flat out WRONG! Some of them even paid the money-hungry "coyotes" thousands of dollars to sneak them into the USA. Likewise, some of them dragged along their young children to commit the same illegal act with them.

Okay, you liberals want to talk about love and compassion? Tell me something then. How is dragging your very own kids into a dangerous and illegal situation an act of love? In fact, some of those parents have sent their own children ahead completely ALONE! Sadly, some of them were raped or experienced other terrible things. So again, before you liberals try to preach to us Conservatives about love and compassion, I suggest that you look more closely at the actual facts, instead of spinning your false narratives in order to garner sympathy.

So despite knowing full well that what they were doing was wrong and illegal, they chose to do it anyway. They broke the law on purpose. They rolled the dice and they took the chance. That is not our fault, so please don’t try to pin it on us Conservatives. Whatever happens to them is THEIR own fault, plain and simple, so let’s call a spade a spade, and stop all of this nonsensical, liberal whitewashing of the facts, shall we?

Sadly, as some of my readers will already know, a number of the attempts to enter the United States illegally have ended in terrible tragedy when sealed trucks have been discovered which are filled with the bloated bodies of hopeful people, who in many cases died from either a lack of oxygen and/or from heat exposure. And yet the greedy "coyotes" still got paid. Horrific!

You know, my friends, as I have mentioned a number of times before, while all of these liberals and Democrats whine and complain about how the Trump administration has taken very strong, decisive steps to curb and to in fact stop illegal entry into our nation, I really have to wonder how many of these same liberal cry babies have ever attempted to enter another country -- particularly Mexico -- illegally. Do any of you delusional liberals really think that Mexico -- or any other country for that matter -- would allow this? Not in your life! As far as I know, the United States of America is the only country that has such porous, open borders. It is really quite ridiculous -- not to mention dangerous -- and the liberals who support such lax policies are just as ridiculous!

You know, over fifty years ago, I first visited Mexico as an American tourist on a standard Mexican tourist visa. I have shared the story before concerning how when I first arrived there, even though I had studied Spanish in high school for three years, and excelled at it, I could hardly understand a word that was spoken to me. This was due to the simple fact that while I had the language theory in my head -- in other words, how to conjugate verbs, the different word genders, etc. -- I had no real-world experience with native Mexicans who actually spoke Mexican Spanish. In other words, my ears were not accustomed to hearing it, because learning Spanish from an American Spanish teacher who has an American accent is simply not the same.

By the way, for those of my readers who may be wondering why I refer to it as Mexican Spanish, and not just simply as the Spanish language, it is because as many knowledgeable and well-traveled people know, not all Spanish in the world is the same. There are distinct differences depending on which country you happen to be in. Were you aware of this point?

In fact, each country has its own LOCALIZED version of the ORIGINAL Spanish language which comes from Spain. In other words, Castilian. Furthermore, it might interest some of my readers to know that from the perspective of Spaniards, all other versions of Spanish are a corruption and a perversion of their language, just as British people view other forms of English -- including American English -- as a corruption of their language. It simply is not trim and proper.

To a large extent, even though I am an American myself, I would have to agree. This is even more true now than it was when I was a youth growing up in Pennsylvania six decades ago. Today, due to the influences of rap music -- which I really do NOT like -- so-called "gangsta talk", etc., our American English language has become an unrecognizable and confusing monstrosity. At least to me. It's become a rude, crude language which I find rather disgusting. Some of it sounds very low-class and uneducated. I don't think I would even be able to fully understand people who talk like that. It would be similar to a foreign language to me.

But returning to my previous comments concerning my original experiences in Mexico back during the 1970s and early 1980s, while I did initially experience some culture shock, through perseverance and constant integration with Mexican society on a daily basis, I eventually mastered Mexican Spanish, and I was able to both speak, read and write it to such a fluent degree, that even though I looked very American, some of my acquaintances at the time thought that I might be from South America. You see, there are some light-skinned, fair-haired people in some South American countries. Not all Latinos -- as they are called -- possess a lot of melanin in their skin pigmentation.

Well, in the end, I enjoyed my time in Mexico so much, that during a six-year period, I chose to remain in the country, and I only returned to the USA-Mexico border to renew my tourist visa every six months. Yes, my friends, I lived in Mexico legally, unlike the ILLEGALS who sneak into our own country. Furthermore, even after I left Mexico, I remained on the Tex-Mex border for another full three years before beginning a new adventure thousands of miles away in Japan. As I have mentioned before, that oriental adventure was the result of being captivated by a 1980 television mini-series called "Shogun" which starred Richard Chamberlain and famed Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune in the lead roles.

But let me tell you, my friends, Mexico was a lot different back then. I mean that it was a lot safer for foreigners, at least as far as I can tell. Drug cartels existed back then as well, of course, but apparently, they did not yet possess as much political power and influence as they seem to have today. Today, they are very aggressive and violent towards foreigners, particularly towards American "Gringos". That takes us back to my previous point. In my view, I think an American would have to be crazy to even try to sneak into Mexico illegally. If you should get caught, you could spend literally years rotting away in some Mexican prison cell, with violent people who do not like you at all.

Worse yet, based on different new reports I have read over the years, the impression I have received is that highway violence being committed against American tourists -- and this includes robbery, kidnapping and even beheadings -- by members of the Mexican drug cartels has risen to a rather dangerous level. Personally, as a result, I don’t recommend that any Americans visit Mexico as tourists, at least not if you intend to travel Mexican highways with your RV rig. You could be walking into your own death trap. So beware!

Besides everything I have already shared with you in this article, let me likewise mention the unimaginable amount of dangerous and illegal drugs which flow across the US-Mexico border at various points, probably every single day. Let me also remind you of the many dangerous and violent crimes which have been committed by some ILLEGALS, including rape and murder. Given these facts, personally, I fully support strong American border security in all its forms. This, of course, includes the border wall, the construction of which the foolish Biden administration brought to a halt. To make matters worse, President Biden even tried to get rid of the border wall construction materials which had been purchased during President Trump’s first term in office, by selling it at a cheap price. That was nothing short of shameful, and a very traitorous act, in my view.

As I was writing this article today, it occurred to me what a rather interesting subject walls actually are. Boring you say? Not really if you actually stop to think about it. We use walls for so many different things and for such a great variety of purposes. Generally-speaking, we often use walls to divide and separate different things, to control the flow of different things, to keep things inside or outside of a particular area, to mark ownership of a place, to designate a certain area for some particular function, etc. There are also many different types of walls as well. It really is a rather fascinating subject.

We use dikes, dams, canals and breakwaters to either control the flow of water, or to prevent it from entering a certain area. We construct a wall to enclose our garden and home and to say "This is my property." Our houses and so many other edifices use walls to keep out the elements such as rain, wind, snow, hail and sleet. Walls also prevent outside heat from entering a place, while at the same time retaining the cool air from our air conditioners. Even a roof is a type of wall if you stop to think about it. We likewise use fences of different kinds to divide and mark a territory, to retain livestock within a certain place, and for a wide variety of other things. We also use walls to keep people out, and to protect our personal, private living spaces which are our homes. Walls of a spacecraft are used to protect astronauts from a certain death, just as the walls of a submarine are what keep sailors safe. Walls allow us to enjoy the water in our swimming pools. Even a bathtub is actually a sort of retaining wall. So as you can see, walls are interesting. I am sure you can think of even more useful purposes for walls.

You know, what is odd about the current liberal mentality, is that historically-speaking, and Biblically-speaking as well, walled cities were the norm for literally thousands of years. The logic was simple. As a leader, if you want to keep your people safe from plunder, rape, murder and other forms of violence, and if you want to keep a more powerful invader out, you build a wall -- or even multiple walls -- around your town or city. There is really nothing difficult to understand about this. It is simply common sense, right?

Furthermore, as I point out in the in-depth 25-part series entitled "Vespasian, Titus and the Fall of Jerusalem", aside from being situated in a location which was very difficult for invaders to reach due to the rugged and steep terrain, first century Jerusalem was protected by three great walls which were constructed of massive limestone blocks, each of which weighed several tons or more. In fact, it took Roman general Titus and his legions about four months to breach all three of the walls before they were finally able to conquer and destroy Jerusalem and the temple complex, exactly as had been prophesied by Jesus himself in the Gospels.

Many of my Christian readers will also be familiar with the walled city of Jericho which was located near the eastern border of Canaan, and which was overtaken by Joshua and the Israelite army. Some of my older readers will no doubt be familiar with the old popular song regarding the same thing. It was sung by Black and White artists alike including Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby and Pete Seeger, to name a few. Even my dad used to sometimes sing the song when I was a boy.

Likewise, if you take the time to conduct a search of the Old Testament of the King Jame Bible, you will discover that there are almost two dozen verses where the phrase "fenced cities" is found. Based on the original Hebrew words which are used in the verses, these were in fact fortified cities, or basically fortresses, which had a defensive wall around them, as well as high towers to watch for any approaching enemies. My friends, these ancient defensive walls were so vitally important that they could mean the very difference between life or death, and freedom or subjugation. That is to say, slavery.

Jerusalem was the same way and likewise had multiple towers -- such as the very famous Tower of Antonia -- which Roman general Titus had destroyed for the most part. Please refer to the aforementioned series for more details. In addition to the city of Jerusalem itself, during the first century BC, Judean king Herod the Great built the rather famous hilltop fortress of Masada, the ruins of which still exist today. I discuss it in my article called "The Fall of Masada", which you will find listed at the end of this same article.

Turning our attention to the New Testament of the King James Bible, as I point out in my three-part series entitled "What About the Wall?", as well as in the three-part series called "New Jerusalem: Heavenly City and Mountain of the Lord's House", the Book of Revelation clearly informs us that God's wonderful Heavenly City -- that is to say, New Jerusalem -- is also surrounded by a massive wall that is approximately two hundred feet in height, as we can easily determine by the following group of Bible verses:

"And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel."


So as you can obviously see, even God Himself is in favor of building walls. But exactly what is the previous group of verses describing? In plain words, it is a security system designed to protect all of God's saved children within from the evil and wicked people who are outside of the walls of New Jerusalem. Furthermore, please notice that each of the four walls has three gates in it. What is the purpose of a gate? Obviously, it is to set something off from something else, and/or to control traffic. In this case, of course, these twelve gates are for controlling the flow of people into the City of God. Their specific purpose is likewise to keep out the riffraff and the unworthy. Again, this truth is made evident, not only by certain verses which we find in the Book of Revelation itself, but in other New Testament verses, including in some of Jesus' very own Parables, as we see here:

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie . . . And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life."


So, thus far we have this extremely high, massive wall which surrounds the Heavenly City on all four sides. The wall has a total of twelve gates. John writes that each of the gates is also manned by a great Angel who is obviously controlling the flow of traffic, and checking everyone's credentials in order to determine if they really have a right to enter into New Jerusalem. If you think that those Angelic Border Guards are not armed, then please think again. Let me remind you of what happened after the First Pair -- that is to say, Adam and Eve -- were ousted from the wonderful Garden of Eden due to their yielding to their pride and knowingly BREAKING THE LAW:

"So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."


By the way, for those of you who may be wondering, depending on which cubit is used, this beautiful, foursquare Heavenly City is about 1,500 miles long on each of its four sides, or about half the size of the United States of America. This is because a cubit was the length of a man's forearm. However, it varied from culture to culture due to genetics, and thus could be from 18 to 21 inches in length. While a difference of three inches may not seem like much, when we're looking at a length of 1,500 miles, it does add up.

But wait just one minute here, friends! Don't all of these verses sound very similar to an earthly border which has both border guards and a very specific immigration system? It is rather obvious, isn't it? In fact, it sounds rather similar to America's very own ICE -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement -- as well as the CBP -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection -- who are posted at every American port of entry. So what we see occurring in Heaven is very much like what a wise, security-minded nation does here on Earth as well. I see no difference. Do you? So why do all of the liberals whine and complain, and why do they want to open the floodgates to questionable and dangerous folks from other countries of the world? It is utter madness!

As I explain in my article entitled "What is Meant by Outer Darkness in the Bible?", according to my understanding of the Scriptures, while the Heavenly City is filled with the light of God the Father and the Lamb, who is Jesus Christ, outside of it in some place exists total darkness. I don't believe that this darkness fills the entire Earth, because this is in fact the New Earth, and there are a lot of saved peoples and nations who are living upon it. However, it is rather clear that somewhere there is this terrible, great darkness. And do you know exactly who is destined for that awful place of torment? The very same wicked people who we saw mentioned in the previous group of Bible verses. They are deceivers and liars and worse. Consider the following set of Bible verses which confirms this particular point:

"But the children of the kingdom [or unbelieving Jews] shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."


"Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."


"And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."


I mentioned a few moments ago that the great Angels who are stationed at each of the twelve gates of New Jerusalem serve as heavenly border guards. Their job is to control all of the traffic which is flowing into and out of God's City of Light, and to check visitors' credentials. Wow! Credentials! You mean similar to passports and visas? That is precisely right! If a person does not have the right credentials, and if their paperwork is not in order with everything properly signed and stamped, they simply CANNOT pass through the port of entry. In this case, it is the twelve gates that are made from pearls, as we see by the following Bible verse:

"And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass."


So exactly what are the credentials of which I speak? Well, if you are a Bible-believing Christian, then I am sure that you already know the answer to this important question. But for anyone who may not be that familiar with the Bible, the simple answer is that the passport is faith in Jesus Christ. He is in fact your ticket, your visa and your passport to Heaven. Without faith in His loving Sacrifice for your sins, in God's eyes, you remain a total stranger and a foreigner without proper documentation, and you will NOT be allowed to enter New Jerusalem. As Jesus himself and the Apostles said and taught, Jesus is the only way, the only door, the only strait gate, the only name, and the only mediator between God and man, as we see by the following set of Bible verses:

". . . I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."


"Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."


"Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:"


"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."


"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"
