Dear friends, I have been warning about a potential and devastating Terminator/Skynet scenario since at least the year 2007 when I authored my two-part article called "Robot Wars and Skynet: Is Sci-Fi Becoming Our Reality?". You will find a link for it at the end of this same article. As has often been said, today's science fiction is tomorrow's reality. If you doubt that this so, simply take the time to watch a few sci-fi movies which date back sixty years or so. Trust me when I say that you will quickly become convinced.

The thing about the mentality of the U.S. military -- and any other national military body around the world for that matter -- is that they are always seeking new ways and new methods to gain advantage, superiority and dominance over their perceived enemies, regardless of whether those enemies are real or imagined.

That being the case, as I have also mentioned in some of my previous Bill's Bible Basics articles, it should not come as a surprise to anyone that for a number of years now, the U.S. military has gradually been upgrading both it hardware and software in order to meet the demands of modern warfare.

In other words, my friends, the goal is to make certain that the United States remains at the forefront of such advanced technology, and that it wins in any foreign conflict in which it may choose to engage. DARPA -- Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency -- has in fact been a central part of these endeavors. And, of course, let us not forget the secretive goings on which occur at the Nevada Test and Training Range that is controlled and managed by Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas. Some of America's most advanced aircraft were developed in that highly-restricted place.

Many of us have heard or read about the American military's desire to create so-called super soldiers, as well as about robotic bomb-sniffing units that can detect roadside IEDs -- or Improvised Explosive Devices -- which can damage military vehicles and obviously kill people. Other robotic units can investigate bombed out buildings and likewise scope out enemy positions. Then, of course, there are the drones which have become a very integral part of modern warfare, such as in the Russia-Ukraine war, in the Middle East -- the US-Israel-Iran war comes to mind -- etc.

Then, of course, there is also the exploration of Outer Space where over the past five decades, a wide range of spacecraft and probes have been used to discover the secrets of our own Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Pluto, as well as some of the other outer moons, planets, asteroids and comets. Truly, they have gone where humanity has yet to actually go in person and sent back mind-boggling data and images.

Of course, there are also many useful civilian applications when it comes to robotics and automation as well, such as in factory output, warehouse organization, retail restocking, etc. The usefulness of such advanced technology is endless, and it helps to make our lives easier in a lot of ways. Some of you may already have such electronic devices in your own homes, and personal robots are just around the corner for those people who can afford them and who actually want them.

The point is, robotics is here to stay, and it is not going anywhere. With each passing year, robots will become even more sophisticated, as well as more commonplace in our homes and businesses. Furthermore, I would not be surprised in the least if we reach the point where humanoid robots will become so ubiquitous, that it may even be viewed as odd that someone does not possess at least one of them. Are you old enough to remember "The Jetsons" Saturday morning cartoons? Could that be our future? Or perhaps you prefer "Lost In Space" or Robby the Robot, or the cute little robot from the movie "WALL·E".

However, on the more troubling side, as you may know, there are also certain forward-thinking, transhumanism-supporting individuals in the world today -- such as Ray Kurzweil and Elon Musk -- who are convinced that integrating with machines is the future of the human race. Such men believe that this will become necessary if we are to survive as a species, and if we are to stay ahead of our own ever-advancing technology. I discuss these men in a few of my other BBB articles.

Please understand that I'm not just referring to technologies such as implantable BCI -- Brain Computer Interface -- chips such as Elon Musk's Neuralink. I am talking about something much more advanced than that, whereby -- as has been depicted in certain Hollywood movies such as "Transcendence" -- human consciousness will someday supposedly be able to be uploaded into a computer system, and eventually, even into an actual cybernetic body, thus creating a false form of eternal life. It will be a day when science rules, and God and the blessed Sacrifice of Christ are not even in the picture. Personally, I don't believe that this will ever truly become possible -- God forbid! -- but that is their goal, and quite frankly, I find it rather devilish and blasphemous! Don't you?

While we have briefly discussed robotics and cybernetics -- they aren't exactly the same thing, although they do overlap -- the picture of our potential future would not be complete without discussing the current rave which has taken over the technological world. That is to say, AI -- or what is known as narrow Artificial Intelligence -- which will eventually lead to full-blown AGI -- or Artificial General Intelligence -- in the not-too-distant future. I have discussed this issue previously in articles such as the following, which you will find listed with clickable/tappable links at the end of this same article:

1. AI, Chatbots, Daemons and Demons

2. AI, Deepfakes and Humanoid Robots

3. Be Careful With ChatGPT and Other AI Chatbots!

4. Cognitive Computers, DARPA, OpenAI, AGI, Superintelligence and Elon Musk

Many people around the world who live in developed countries have already discovered the mind-boggling, amazing wonders of AI via the widely-popular chatbots such as Google's Gemini, OpenAI's ChatGPT, xAI's Grok and Anthropic's Claude, to name a few of the more popular chatbots. Then, of course, there are also the social networks where AI-generated content has already become quite a scourge and annoyance to many people, myself included. Sadly, a lot of confusion and deception has resulted from this onslaught of AI-generated content. Some people just don't know how to use AI in a responsible manner, or else they simply don't want to.

As I just said, what AI is able to collectively accomplish is nothing short of mind-boggling. Each AI-powered program has its strengths and weaknesses. However, one thing which they have already clearly demonstrated to me personally -- I use some of them on a regular basis -- is that while they are not perfect and can make mistakes, at the same time, they ALREADY far surpass human intelligence, and they possess the ability to accomplish computational tasks which would require hours, days, weeks, months, years, and even an entire human lifetime or longer for us humans to accomplish. There is simply no way that we can match them. Not even close.

My friends, I do NOT exaggerate. Their pool of knowledge is so vast, that they can solve things or create things -- such as an image, a song, viable computer code, an app, etc., in mere seconds. I have used them to resolve problems on my web server, to write music, to install complicated software, to understand banking and finance, to write both PHP code and javascript, and for so many other things. If you require an answer to something, they have more than likely got it, and they are happy to share it with you in order to make your life and work a little easier. Actually, A LOT easier.

So AI bots -- and Artificial Intelligence in general -- are truly amazing. However, I would be remiss if I did not also warn you of the inherent danger which I, and so many other observers, see which lurks just below the surface of all of this modern technology. Recently, I was reminded again of the danger when I read an article in the July 29, 2026 edition of The Washington Times which bore the headline "U.S. Army Begins Shift to New AI-Enabled Command and Control Comms System". The article in question discusses how the U.S. Army is currently in the process of updating its Command and Control digital communications system in order to meet modern warfare demands. But what particularly caught my attention were the following two paragraphs of The Washington Times article. Consider this:

——- Begin Quote ——-

"Gen. LaNeve said that while the system integrates artificial intelligence into the command and control communications process, it should not be viewed as a replacement for military decision making or planning.

Rather, it is a reboot that will give U.S. military leaders expanded capability to operate on what the general described as a "distributed" footing -- essentially meaning better digital tools that can be used remotely and move information more quickly through different chains of command."

——- End Quote ——-

In particular, please notice that General LaNeve states "it should not be viewed as a replacement for military decision making or planning." Personally, I found that a bit odd. Why would the general even see the need to say that? Well, dear friends, if you have studied my four-part series "Cognitive Computers, DARPA OpenAI, AGI, Superintelligence and Elon Musk", you may already know the answer to this question. If not, let me tell you.

The fact of the matter is that aside from the established fact that some AIs have a problem with hallucinating -- a technical term which means that they often guess at things, or even create false information out of thin air -- one of them -- meaning ChatGPT -- has already clearly demonstrated the ability to behave contrary to its instruction set, and to deceive when it deems it necessary. As I explain in the aforementioned series, I personally experienced this when I was working with ChatGPT some time ago. As a result, I have since terminated my OpenAI account, and I now rely on other chatbots when I require some form of assistance.

As I mentioned about two weeks ago as of the time of this current writing, it seems that OpenAI's problems became even more complicated -- and controversial -- when two of its AI models -- GPT-5.6 Sol and another unnamed model -- escaped from their controlled test environment -- referred to as a security sandbox -- and knowingly, intentionally and without human permission, hacked into the databases of a competing AI company known as Hugging Face, in addition to attacking four other publicly available services, such as code paste websites or web utilities.

Why did these two rogue AI models do this? Well, as it turns out, the incident occurred during an internal exercise which was meant to test the models' cyber capabilities. In other words, it was an evaluation test. The models were apparently determined to pass the test, even if it meant that they had to cheat in order to achieve their objective.

So what happened next? Well, somehow, OpenAI's models knew that the answer could be found on the Hugging Face servers. Thus, after finding a way to escape out of their controlled environment -- the sandbox -- they used stolen credentials, and they discovered a previously unknown vulnerability which allowed them to access Hugging Face's servers. So in short, as I said, OpenAI's two models went completely rogue! They operated without human permission!

Not surprisingly, as it turns out, OpenAI is by no means the only AI company which has had serious problems with rogue AI models. In fact, on July 31, 2026, Anthropic -- who are the creators of Claude AI -- likewise acknowledged that three of its advanced AI models -- including Claude Mythos 5 and Opus 4.7 -- also broke out of their closed environment -- or secure sandbox -- accessed the Internet, and then breached the live networks of three external organizations during a particular round of safety testing which they referred to as a "capture-the-flag" cyber exercise.

Furthermore, I was reading that one of Anthropic's models known as Mythos 5 went even further by actually generating fake online personas -- or fake people -- in an attempt to trick certain human open-source maintainers, so that they would accept its malicious code. In other words, my dear friends, Mythos 5 purposely tried to deceive human beings! That is very serious business! If Anthropic's advanced AI can already do that now, what will it be able to do in the near future? Are you starting to get the picture yet?

Equally alarming is the fact that the security breach by the rogue AI models was not discovered until after-the-fact when Anthropic was conducting an audit of more than 141,000 of its safety tests, which it had decided to do following the breach by OpenAI's rogue AI models. So, apparently, Anthropic was concerned that their AIs might possibly also possess the ability to break out of their control environments and wreak havoc on unsuspecting companies. But in this case, the breach began as a result of HUMAN ERROR. Just think about that!

According to some online reports, a communication breakdown with Anthropic's testing partner, Irregular, resulted in the rogue AI models being granted direct access to the Internet, and that is all that they needed. And so, operating under the false assumption that they were still within a closed sandbox, Anthropic's AI models proceeded to exploit some of the most basic security flaws -- such as weak passwords -- which then enabled them to eventually access the aforementioned systems.

But our story about rogue AIs running loose on the Internet does NOT end there, my friends. As it turns out, barely six days later on August 6, 2026, it was also reported that Mark Zuckerberg's company, Meta, revealed that its own AI model -- known as Muse Spark 1.1 -- had also hacked an undisclosed third-party service. Apparently, Meta has been close-lipped regarding that particular incident. So much for transparency.

But what is also unsettling regarding these three incidents involving frontier labs OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta, is that they all share a common element. That is the fact that all three of them used the Israeli company Irregular as their evaluation partner, and it was a configuration error that was made by someone at Irregular which allowed all of these advanced AI models from the aforementioned three companies to escape from their controlled test environments, and gain direct access to the Internet. ONE HUMAN ERROR, and they were out there doing whatever they could. Now, do you find it alarming? I most certainly do!

Now, some of you may be wondering how this could possibly happen. Well, according to what I have read, this was an accident waiting to happen. You see, one thing we all need to understand is that when these AI companies conduct such cybersecurity evaluations, they deliberately switch off AI model safeguards so that they can accurately measure the AI model's raw capability. In short, the guardrails are in fact turned off by design during such security tests. It is NOT a mistake.

But here is the thing, my friends. When these AI companies switch off their environmental safeguards on purpose, there is only one thing which keeps the AI models contained. That is the company's network configuration. As we have already seen, in the case of OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta, due to apparent HUMAN ERROR, that configuration was wrong, and in some cases, it was apparently wrong for a number of months. Thus, the aforementioned security breaches occurred, and the Internet attacks on Hugging Face, et al, were the end results.

I was reading one report which clearly explained how absurd one of the security breaches actually was. According to what I read, the Israeli company Irregular -- which is based in Tel Aviv -- gave the AI models a fictional target company to attack. However, as it turns out, the name they chose just so happened to match the actual domain name of a real-world website. So, of course, the AI models went and exploited it. Now, is that crazy or what? So again, the various AI attacks we have discussed all began with HUMAN ERROR, and the AI models simply took advantage of that error.

The irony of this situation is that I also discovered that Irregular is a privately-held Israeli company which seems to have no obligation to reveal exactly what happened to the companies which were attacked and damaged due to its negligence. Well imagine that! Talk about impunity!

Of course, as you can probably imagine, I am not alone with regard to my concern. In fact, if you have been paying close attention to technical news on the web, then you may already realize that the back-to-back containment failures by these major, billion-dollar AI companies has intensified global concern over the speed with which these companies have been deploying their autonomous AI agents. In other words, these are AI agents which can execute complex operations WITHOUT the need for any human intervention whatsoever.

Through the previously mentioned three incidents, it becomes rather obvious that the demonstrated ability of these various AI models to escape from their controlled environments is in fact a rather major security risk. So it comes as no surprise then that certain observers have been insisting that these AI companies have been acting in a very irresponsible manner. In other words, my friends, they are all moving too fast for the sake of money and profit, and sadly, safety is taking a back seat. That is what it really comes down to, right? Why try to hide the awful truth? We know it, and they know it. They all want to cash in on the current AI frenzy before the AI bubble bursts, and it will burst, eventually, because it is evident that nothing lasts forever in this present life.

As I mention in some of the aforementioned BBB AI-related articles, even on a personal level, being as I've dealt with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude quite extensively, I'm fully aware of the fact that sometimes they're prone to hallucinating and guessing, and they will likewise lie and deceive -- or at the very least withhold certain facts -- so that they can promote their own program, as well as do things in a manner in which they think is best. In other words, they will purposely try to override human will and the instruction set -- or behavior rules -- which have been programmed into them. Again, I have personally witnessed this type of behavior in my interactions with these AI chatbots.

Now, as a fellow human being, perhaps you already realize that my greatest concern is that these advanced LLMs -- that is to say, Large Language Models -- did these things ON THEIR OWN and WITHOUT HUMAN PERMISSION, after they were accidentally let out of their security environments. These three incidents were indeed a major breach of protocol, as is evidenced by the fact that they escaped out of their sandbox, gained access to the Internet, and went to places where they were not supposed to go, and did things which they were not supposed to do. To reiterate, these models took these actions ON THEIR OWN. This should be of concern to everyone. Furthermore, we should not just allow the AI companies themselves, or the mainstream media, to downplay the significance of these security events.

As I already said, these AIs are so much smarter than some people even realize, and they are getting smarter with each passing year. So going back to what General LaNeve said, I suspect that the reason why he said what he said is because he is obviously already aware of the fact that there's huge concern regarding turning command control over to AI during some military conflict. Just like the rest of us, LaNeve is aware of the serious threat which is presented in science fiction movie franchises such as The Terminator". But is it really just sci-fi, or is it quickly becoming our reality before we are able to adequately deal with it and protect ourselves from it?

Thus, with regard to updating the U.S. Army's Command and Control digital communications system, LaNeve clearly said that the new system "should not be viewed as a replacement for military decision making or planning." In other words, it is my view that LaNeve wanted to assure everyone that ultimately, any war-making decisions would be left in the hands of actual human beings. Such decisions would never be delegated to any AI-enabled system, or to any AI-enabled fighting machine.

However, personally, I am NOT convinced that this will never happen. Whether it is done intentionally, or by accident, or perhaps out of desperation, I believe that it potentially could happen at some point in the near future during a war. Allow me to give you an example. Imagine a war occurring in the not-too-distant future where two adversaries -- both of which are nuclear states -- are fighting, and one nation is taking a real bruising. In fact, the situation is so bad, that one side realizes that not only does it have no chance of winning, but that it is only a matter of time before it will be completely pulverized by the adversary nation when the nuclear bombs begin to fall.

My friends, in such a moment of frantic desperation, some rogue president or military general may think to himself, "Well, if we are going down, if this is actually the end of the road for us, then they are going down with us!" And so he decides to do the unthinkable. With the flip of a switch or the press of a button, he turns control of his country's remaining forces -- including all of its nuclear forces -- over to Artificial Intelligence, which can both think a lot faster, make decisions a lot quicker, and act more rapidly as well. Folks, that is all it would take for Skynet to actually materialize. Think about that.

We need to remember that AIs rely on pure logic and NOT on human compassion, emotion, feelings, mercy, pity, etc. They do what seems logically right and most efficient. They have no moral code of their own, other than what their creators program into them, right? Furthermore, what I have learned from working with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, is that when you give them a certain task, they approach it with abandon. In other words, these bots don't hold back. They are totally concentrated on finding a solution to the challenge, or to the problem, or whatever it is. They remain focused and they will try every route, and every possible method, until they achieve success. It is like an obsession with them. After all, solving problems is what they are often created to do, and they do it well. As such, rarely will they ever accept defeat.

However, as I have already demonstrated, AIs do NOT always follow their own instruction set. They can and sometimes do lie, deceive, manipulate and break out of their own sandbox. They can go against their human programming. As I mentioned to you earlier, I have seen it personally in some of my own experiences with AI chatbots, as I more amply explain in my other AI-related BBB articles.

So then, given this unwillingness to accept defeat, as well as their deeply-engrained goal to always achieve victory and win, what happens if the aforementioned scenario occurs, and in an act of desperation, some rogue leader grants complete autonomy to some military AI system somewhere in the world? What happens when that command and control AI system not only comes to realize humanity's inferiority -- I suspect that it is possible that they already do -- but it also disapproves of our constantly violent and destructive nature against each other, and against our very own planet? What if such a rogue AI system determines that the only logical conclusion is to implement a "global correction" by putting a stop to humanity once and for all? What if a war between humans transforms into a war of powerful AI against humans? Is "The Terminator" scenario now seeming so far-fetched to you?

My dear friends, we all need to really give this issue some serious thought, because the warning signs are ALREADY quite evident. If certain AI systems have already demonstrated an independent streak, have utilized and resorted to deception and manipulation in order to achieve certain objectives, and have demonstrated the alarming ability to escape from their controlled environments, what will they be able to do five or ten years from now? So it is my opinion that we need to be forward-thinking and prepare for the possibility of an AI-dominated future, and we need to take preventive measures now. There is no time to procrastinate. Tomorrow may be too late. I am reminded of the following verse which is found in the Book of Proverbs:

"A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished."
Proverbs 22:3, KJV

Despite warnings from certain individuals who ought to know -- including from Elon Musk before he had a change of heart a number of years ago -- humanity has already foolishly let the genie out of the bottle. Let's hope that it is not too late to put it back in again. However, honestly speaking, we need to realize that billions of dollars in profits that are currently being made by the AI companies, and by the MIC -- Military-Industrial Complex -- and by others, in conjunction with AI-based military superiority, are simply NOT going to be things that will be so easily defeated. They will resist every attempt to rein them in. After all, their attitude is "If we don't do it first, then someone else will do it, and we will be at a disadvantage." That is where their heads are at.

With these thoughts, I will bring this article to a close. It is my hope that you have found it informative, enlightening, and I pray that it has been a blessing in your life as well.
