Be Bold As Lions When You Share God's Word, The Price We Must Be Willing To Pay As Faithful Witnesses, My Position, Fear God, Don't Be Afraid of What Man Can Do To You, Stand Firm In Your Faith And Be Strong, Suggested Reading List

As I concluded in part one of this article, if Satan and his crowd walk around as roaring lions -- 1 Peter 5:8 -- then it is imperative that Christians meet them on a level playing field, and also be as bold as lions when it comes to sharing the Gospel message and all that it entails. We simply cannot cower in fear, hide our lights under a bushel, or water down the message due to political correctness, or as a means for us to avoid persecution. Following are some additional Bible verses which speak on the very same subject of boldness:

"The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion."
Proverbs 28:1, KJV

"And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For HE TAUGHT THEM AS ONE HAVING AUTHORITY, and not as the scribes."
Matthew 7:28-29, KJV

"And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: FOR HE TAUGHT THEM AS ONE THAT HAD AUTHORITY, and not as the scribes."
Mark 1:21-22, KJV

"But, lo, he speaketh BOLDLY, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?"
John 7:26, KJV

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Hebrews 4:12, KJV

"Now when they saw the BOLDNESS of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus . . . And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all BOLDNESS they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with BOLDNESS."
Acts 4:13, 29-31, KJV

"Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men."
Acts 5:29, KJV

"But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached BOLDLY at Damascus in the name of Jesus. And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem. And he spake BOLDLY in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him."
Acts 9:27-29, KJV

"Long time therefore abode they speaking BOLDLY in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands."
Acts 14:3, KJV

"And he began to speak BOLDLY in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly."
Acts 18:26, KJV

"And he went into the synagogue, and spake BOLDLY for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God."
Acts 19:8, KJV

"Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more BOLDLY unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,"
Romans 15:15, KJV

"And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth BOLDLY, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
Ephesians 6:19-20, KJV

"According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all BOLDNESS, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death."
Philippians 1:20, KJV

"For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible."
2 Corinthians 10:10, KJV

"He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light."
John 5:35, KJV

"Quench not the Spirit."
1 Thessalonians 5:19, KJV

But as I have already made clear through examples in my own life in this article, if we take it upon ourselves to boldly speak a message which is so unpopular in so many ears today, we also need to realize that if we stick our heads out of the trench, resist the temptation to be politically-correct, and boldly speak the Gospel truth, the reprobates will hate us for doing so. They will fire upon us, and they will try to silence us, using some of the methods I have mentioned in this article. That is the price we must be willing to pay if we are going to be faithful witnesses for the Lord in this modern age of rampant sin. Are you prepared for that?

As for me personally, it is my intention to never apologize for the things which I say and teach. By God's Grace, I will not compromise, and I will not water down the message, as so many lukewarm churches have done at this current time. Why won't I ever do this? Well because quite frankly, I am more concerned with my standing before the Lord, than my standing before mere mortal men, who in the worse case scenario, can only kill my body, but not my soul. How about you? Allow me to share a few more verses with you regarding this topic:

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."
Matthew 10:28, KJV

"What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me . . . In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me."
Psalm 56:3-4, 11, KJV

"What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"
Romans 8:31, KJV

"So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me."
Hebrews 13:6, KJV

In conclusion, as should be rather clear to you by now, we each need to stand firm in our faith and not back down, no matter how much the unbelieving and liberal world ridicules us, hates us and persecutes us. In the words of the Apostle Paul "quit you like men, be strong." Let me conclude this article by sharing some additional Bible verses regarding this very same subject. I hope they encourage you:

"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
Isaiah 41:10, KJV

"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts."
Zechariah 4:6, KJV

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10, KJV

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
1 Corinthians 15:58, KJV

"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."
1 Corinthians 16:13, KJV

"Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;"
Philippians 1:27, KJV

"Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved . . . I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Philippians 4:1, 13, KJV

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might . . . Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"
Ephesians 6:10, 13-17, KJV

"For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord."
1 Thessalonians 3:8, KJV

"Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."
2 Thessalonians 2:15, KJV

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus."
2 Timothy 2:1, KJV

"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly CONTEND FOR THE FAITH which was once delivered unto the saints."
Jude 1:3, KJV

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
James 4:7, KJV

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."
1 Peter 5:8-9, KJV

"Neither give place to the devil."
Ephesians 4:27, KJV
