To Believe In Something Means To Accept That It Is True, To Believe In Jesus Is Also To Accept Jesus, Accept Ask Believe Receive And Repent Are Interrelated Words With Regards To Salvation, First Century Warnings Regarding Proliferation Of False Brethren And Doctrines Of Doctrines, End Result Of My Conversation With A Facebook Critic, Suggested Reading List

As I concluded in part one, it should be rather obvious to you that when you believe something, it means that you ACCEPT it as being true. So once again we see that when we BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, we are in fact ACCEPTING that He is the Son of God, and God's chosen Messiah and Savior who died for the sins of the whole world.

In short, all these words we have been discussing -- accept, ask, believe, receive and repent -- are interrelated when it comes to the issue of our Salvation. Maybe there are no Bible verses which outright say verbatim that we must ask Jesus to come into our hearts, or accept Christ as our Savior, but as I believe I have now clearly demonstrated, that intent and purpose is clearly evident in the various Scriptures which I have shared with you. That is, if you are led by the Spirit in your personal understanding. As I noted earlier, certain doctrines are implied in the Scriptures without saying them directly. Either that, or else they can be inferred from the Scriptures if we are Spirit-led, and if we are not blinded by our own legalistic approach to reading the Bible.

Concerning these staunch, argumentative legalists who plague many of the social networks, and who willingly choose to deny these Biblical truths -- such as the woman who commented on my Salvation graphic in my Facebook post -- and who require things to be in black and white right in front of their noses before they will choose to believe them, allow me to share the following group of verses with you which offer us a stern warning regarding the proliferation of false brethren and false doctrines during the First Century:

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them."
Acts 20:28-30, KJV

"Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them."
Romans 16:17, KJV

"And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know."
1 Corinthians 8:2, KJV

"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him . . . For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
2 Corinthians 11:4, 13-15, KJV

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
Galatians 1:6-9, KJV

"And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:"
Galatians 2:4, KJV

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"
Ephesians 4:14, KJV

"Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision."
Philippians 3:2, KJV

"As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do . . . From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm."
1 Timothy 1:3-4, 6-7, KJV

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"
1 Timothy 4:1-2, KJV

"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."
1 Timothy 6:3-5, KJV

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."
2 Timothy 3:13, KJV

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"
2 Timothy 4:3, KJV

"Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
Hebrews 5:11-14, KJV

"Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein."
Hebrews 13:9, KJV

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of."
2 Peter 2:1-2, KJV

"And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."
2 Peter 3:15-16, KJV

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us . . . Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son."
1 John 2:18-19, 22, KJV

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
1 John 4:1, KJV

"If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds."
2 John 1:10-11, KJV

Sadly, after reading my response to her, the aforementioned woman decided to unfriend me, even though we had only been friends for an hour or two at best. Knowing what these kinds of people are like, I am sure that she has probably convinced herself in her own mind that she was justified in unfriending me. After all, in her eyes, I am the heretic, and not her. I find it tragic that she is so bound up in her legalistic view that she can't even agree with another Christian brother with regards to the basics of Salvation and Eternal Life.
