YOU WICKED HEART!

by Bill Kochman

04-09-2014

Oh why did I ever trust you?
I thought you were my friend,
I listened to you so closely,
You dealt wickedly in the end.

Listen to your heart they say,
It will never steer you wrong,
But God’s Word says contrary,
It deceives you all day long.

Murder, lies and deception,
Its evil fruit is plain to see,
Listen instead to God’s Spirit,
For it alone can set you free.
