BATTLE OF THE MIND

The Devil is a deceiver and the father of lies,
But as an angel of light he will often disguise.
Against this lion we must be vigilant and sober,
Fail to take heed and the battle will be over.
Into captivity we must bring our every thought,
This is how battles by Christians must be fought.
In our minds we cannot ever be weary or faint,
No matter how dark a picture old Satan may paint.
When our enemy like a flood suddenly comes in,
We must cling to God’s Word if we expect to win.
The Sword of the Spirit we must raise it high,
It smashes every deception and crushes every lie.
