POLI TICKS

Oh those poli ticks, poli ticks,
Getting underneath our skin,
Always sucking on our lives,
Why is it we can never win?

Our lives are already so hard,
But they do not have a clue,
Passing bills to tax us more,
What are we supposed to do?

Living in expensive mansions,
Kids going to the best schools,
Health insurance is the finest,
Are we merely just their tools?

They rake in so many millions,
But we barely make ends meet,
They wear the latest fashions,
We have sandals on our feet.

They are supposed to serve us,
But they’ve forgotten their task,
They shake hands, kiss babies,
Yes they wear the perfect mask.

They are all career politicians,
Serving themselves is their life,
It just does not seem to matter,
Their laws cut us like a knife.
