THE SOLUTION

It is such a very big mistake,
To trust in the wisdom of men,
Because they will often fail you,
Yes indeed, again and again.
Still I find so many people,
Placing faith in political ploys,
Not seeming to understand,
They are being used like toys.
Blindly following some leader,
They cling to his every word,
As if he can’t do any wrong,
I find it all so quite absurd.
Over and over it plays out,
When will they ever learn?
Their promises are so cheap,
On you they eventually turn.
Political solutions won’t fix,
What is wrong with our land,
We all must turn to the Lord,
Let Him lead us by the hand.
Repentance on every side,
Is what we actually need,
Yes, forsaking all of our sins,
To God’s Word taking heed.
Now if we do these things,
Our country God may heal,
He will forgive our rebellion,
For truly He loves us still.
