SEVENTY

Thank you, Lord, I have made it,
Yes, it’s now my seventieth year,
Your hand has surely kept me,
Though unseen, You are near.

I have never lacked for anything,
No doubt a token of Your love,
You’ve inspired with Your Word,
Truly, it is manna from above.

While there have been battles,
You gave strength to persevere,
As you led the way before me,
Words of comfort filled my ear.

Now as yet another year begins,
Help me on Your path to remain,
Faithfully fulfilling my mission,
So salvation others may gain.
