FAKER

by Bill Kochman

10-24-2023

That poor man was in a hole,
No doubt of his own making,
Because throughout his life,
Love for Jesus he was faking.

So proudly he walked about,
With a very self-righteous air,
While deep in his wicked heart,
He honestly did not even care.

Folks would see him coming,
Then praises could be heard,
He thot he was doing so swell,
Oh what an idea quite absurd.

Outwardly he seemed so fine,
Sure, he even talked the talk,
But when nobody was looking,
He just did not walk the walk.

Now here he stood before God,
A rather smug look on his face,
As Father then spoke saying,
Son, you’re in the wrong place.
