WAR WITHOUT A CAUSE

The Apostle James made it clear,
Why people fight year after year.
Not happy with what they’ve got,
So they yield to a greedy thought.

Just grab land from a weaker one,
Tho it means at the point of a gun.
First you invent some good reason,
Then on the enemy it’s open season.

Send in the young to fight your war,
Especially uneducated, and the poor.
Fill heads with ideas of democracy,
But hide well all of your hypocrisy.

Convince them it is a noble cause,
For when they face old death’s jaws,
With patriotic pride, they will all die,
Tho your war was just based on a lie.
