SOUL SEARCH

There is a great war occurring,
Within this sad nation of ours,
But not with guns and bullets,
It is between spiritual powers.
Indeed the forces of darkness,
Raging against the Lord’s light,
God’s children speaking truth,
Trying to hold back the night.
So much rebellion & defiance,
Has taken hold within this land,
Unless we return soon to God,
Our nation will cease to stand.
The Lord has shown us mercy,
Even tho we have gone astray,
He waits to see our repentance,
And holds back judgment day.
But if we continue in rebellion,
And scoff at the ones He’s sent,
He may decide our time is over,
Then this country will be rent.
His blessings will then be gone,
His curses will take their place,
Maybe it will make us desperate,
And we will finally seek His face.
Humbling ourselves before Him,
As we confess each & every sin,
Renewing our dedication to Him,
It is the only way we’ll ever win.
