EAT WHAT YOU WANT

by Bill Kochman

You can eat what you want,
It is really fine by me,
Just know I do not care,
For your stiff legality.

What goes in is not a sin,
As the Lord clearly said,
Dietary laws save us not,
To such things we are dead.

I like meat, but you don’t,
Okay, it’s no need to sweat,
What’s important most of all,
Is that Jesus paid our debt.

So tho we all eat differently,
I hope we can still agree,
Love is still the Royal Law,
And begins with civility.
