FIRST DEGREE MURDER

by Bill Kochman

06-08-2019

I did not see it coming,
That monster had a knife,
He had but one mission,
To take away my life.

I could not understand it,
What had I done so wrong?
My mother did not want me,
Though she was so far along.

I thought that you loved me,
And that you really cared,
Can’t you see I am dying?
Mom, I am so very scared.

Then I felt so much pain,
As my limbs ripped apart,
Mother please don’t do it,
Why don’t you have a heart?

Blackness now surrounds me,
My life is slipping away,
But mom, I still love you,
Will I see you again someday?
