FREEDOM

by Bill Kochman

12-14-2016

The Judge pronounced the sentence,
And into a dark prison we were cast,
But God also had a liberation plan,
Thus our punishment would not last.

Then there appeared a great light,
And alas, we were suddenly unbound,
The reason for such a great miracle,
A Lamb on a Cross who made no sound.

Yes, Jesus opened the door to prison,
He let His great love light shine in,
Condemnation and sin were conquered,
A brand new life we’re free to begin.
