DOWN IN THE BASEMENT

Down in the basement,
Just like old Uncle Joe,
People are wondering,
Why she doesn’t show.

There are many issues,
Can we hear her take?
Or is she just so afraid,
She’ll make a mistake?

Good at making salads,
Is not what we all need,
Use your teleprompter,
If you just have to read.

But please get out there,
Show you have got guts,
Forget all your excuses,
Yep, no ifs, ands or buts.

Now if you fail to do this,
You will sink your boat,
Folks losing confidence,
And there goes their vote.
