GRUMBLER

You say you don’t need a man,
Well I feel quite the same,
I’ve had enough of you women,
You all drive me quite insane.

Then there are our children,
Did they really come from us?
They’re like some alien race,
At times we just want to cuss.

And what about that darn dog,
He always poops on our lawn,
He barks thru half the night,
Oh how I wish that he was gone.

Now as if that is not enough,
Our neighbor just has no clue,
He rakes leaves into our yard,
I really don’t know what to do.

But it wouldn’t be quite so bad,
Except for my boss down at work,
The guy is just a total tyrant,
And one mean, annoying jerk.

Well, I could easily go on,
But you see my life’s not fair,
There are so many things wrong,
I’m ready to pull out my hair.

Such is the life of a grumbler,
They’re programmed to complain,
Even when the sun is shining,
They wish that it would rain.

It’s very hard to please them,
A fault they will always find,
Never seeing God’s blessings,
It is sad they are so blind.
