LITTLE BOY

by Bill Kochman

01-14-2017

America dropped the first bomb,
And it seems that ever since,
It’s been just an uphill battle,
The rest of the world to convince.

She claims that it was justified,
That so many died in that flash,
There was nothing left to bury,
No, not so much as even ash.

Oh what wicked, vile weapons,
Are born in the hearts of men,
I can only hope and pray,
That they never do it again.
