LOVE GROWN COLD

by Bill Kochman

12-08-2016

Love God, and love your neighbor,
Can Bible basics be more clear?
Yet we seem to stray so far away,
Gets worse with each passing year.

We each live in our modern boxes,
Like sardines packed in a tin can,
But neighbors are strangers to us,
We don’t know every child and man.

Love for others has grown so cold,
Selfishness is the rule of the day,
If Jesus were to return tomorrow,
I can just imagine what He’d say.
