NARROW-MINDED MAN

by Bill Kochman

04-06-18

I knew a narrow-minded man,
Who walked a very narrow way,
He talked about Jesus Christ,
All the live long day.

Some folks didn’t like his message,
Not a word he had to say,
But he was determined to remain,
Faithful come what may.

No feel-good sermons did he preach,
No, not a single one,
His critics griped and groaned,
“Man, you’re just no fun!”

“You need to loosen up”, they said,
“This is a modern day.”
“God accepts us just the way we are,
We won’t have to pay.”

But he refused to bow to pressure,
He preached just God’s straight Word,
Those fools eventually walked away,
As if they hadn’t even heard.

Don’t you be like those folks,
Repent of your every sin,
If you do, God will know,
Someday His Kingdom you’ll walk within.
