SCHOOL DILEMMA

by Bill Kochman

11-30-2016

They say we come from monkeys,
And my ancestor beat his chest,
So if I dare to mark otherwise,
I will no doubt fail this test.

Earth is billions of years old,
So-called smart ones do believe,
If I attempt to contradict them,
A very bad grade I will receive.

I really find it so aggravating,
They instruct against my belief,
Pressuring me to think like them,
Oh God, I need some quick relief.
