DARK WAVE

The country was in a wreck,
The liberals were in control,
Promoting ungodly wickedness,
And digging their own hole.

Their laws defied our God,
Putting flesh before the soul,
It was only a matter of time,
Before it would take a toll.

God looked down from Heaven,
His anger seethed like a coal,
While many Christians prayed,
To make this country whole.

It comes down to a question,
How much more will He endure?
Our sins are before His face,
Like an open, putrid sore.

The stench of our rebellion,
Rises up to Heaven’s door,
He waits for our repentance,
His mercy is forever more.

But if we remain so proud,
And His warnings we ignore,
The day will finally arrive,
When He will even the score.
