BAD SEEDS

by Bill Kochman

When I was a young Christian,
Quite a number of years ago,
I learned that faith is a seed,
Which takes God’s Word to grow.

But it seems that over the years,
The enemy snuck into God’s fold,
And it really boggles my mind,
What people are now being told.

So many money-hungry preachers,
Twist the meaning of God’s Word,
Saying plant a seed out of need,
I find it all so devilishly absurd.

Yes, wicked prosperity preachers,
Making gullible people believe,
The more money seeds they plant,
Then the more they will receive.

But their doctrine is just so evil,
That is not even how it works,
The truth has been so perverted,
By those lying, deceptive jerks.

The Bible says to give freely,
Don’t expect anything in return,
Yet the wolves tell their flocks,
The more you give you will earn.

Thus giving then becomes selfish,
It is not what Jesus ever taught,
So ignore those greedy snakes,
Please don’t listen to their rot.
