BOOT ‘N HOOT

Well, you can say what you like,
But I honestly don’t give a hoot,
However, if you reject the Lord,
You will get the celestial boot.

That’s right, no Heaven for you,
Gotta be washed in the Blood,
Short of that, you are lost pal,
And sinking fast in Hell’s mud.

I tried hard to get thru to you,
But you refused to give an ear,
Thinking that you were smart,
You told me to get out of here.

Yet even still, I stuck around,
To offer you another chance,
I was hoping you’d soften up,
And give God’s Word a glance.

But no, you are just too proud,
Wanting to do it your own way,
Do you know what will happen,
When God judges you one day?

All the things that you’ve done,
Will be worthless in God’s sight,
Then at last you’ll understand,
What I told you was really right.

By that time, once you’ve died,
Sadly, it will simply be too late,
The Lord will then look at you,
And say “You chose your fate.”
