CHECK YOUR HEART

by Bill Kochman

12-02-2016

Why do we even share God’s Word?
To rack up points with the Lord?
Or just to hear the sheep squeal,
When we poke ’em with our sword?

Do we just want to brag to folks,
As if we’re so holy and the best?
If that is what is prompting you,
You ought to just give it a rest.

We need to each check ourselves,
Shine our motives in God’s light,
If we don’t preach out of love,
Then our heart is just not right.
