DON’T BACK DOWN!

When they try to push us down,
We all should really fight back,
They would like to silence us,
And just knock us off our track.
But we have a mission to do,
God made us His earthly voice,
So preach His Word we must,
We really don’t have a choice.
Even though at times it’s hard,
And the wolves nip at our heel,
We just can’t lay down and quit,
We must keep on fighting still.
Tho darkness now fills the Earth,
And many wander in the night,
Yet still we can give them hope,
By shining God’s radiant Light.
That is the truth of His Word,
Which can set every man free,
So if we preach it faithfully,
We can help so many to see.
They can learn about the Lord,
Who offered His life for us all,
Then if they believe by faith,
They’ll hear that heavenly call.
So stay strong, don’t surrender,
Don’t let them snuff your flame,
If they should resist too long,
In the end they’ll take the blame.
But as for you, the Bible says,
You will hear God’s “Well done”,
And one day when life is past,
You’ll be walking with the Son.
