DON’T WORRY

by Bill Kochman

So many times we often fear,
Things whispered in our ear.
Or we read stuff in the news,
That gives us negative views.

The web too fills with fright,
Keeping us up half the night.
All these voices give us worry,
Makes us want our head to bury.

No more bad news, it’s enough,
Our life here is already tough.
We need good news, not the bad,
It brings us down, makes us sad.

But we can rise above it all,
If we just give the Lord a call.
He’ll comfort us in our despair,
For Jesus knows our every hair.

He will always work things out,
For that’s what He is all about.
So if you are about to bust,
Turn to the one you can trust.

He will listen, won’t turn away,
Get on your knees, begin to pray.
Before long His peace will come,
And your worries? They were dumb.
