DUMP THE CARDS DUDE

by Bill Kochman

As the Word says, the rich rule over the poor,
And the borrower becomes servant to the lender,
But if you don’t take heed to this wise advice,
You will dig your own grave, you big spender.

So many crazy people today, go out of their way,
Because they must have instant gratification,
But if you foolishly spend, as if there’s no end,
You’ll wind up in a heap of financial frustration.

So then better it is, to tear up all your cards,
And to embark on a much more simpler existence,
It may take you more time, to save dime by dime,
But you will get what you want with persistence.
