FACE MASKS

by Bill Kochman

04-13-2023

We wore masks for almost three years,
Yet some folks are still filled with fears.
Yes, I see them whenever I venture out,
It really makes me just want to shout.

But it would probably be to no avail,
Their minds are made up, you can tell.
Still afraid they might catch that thing,
So a face mask they will always bring.

Some folks are old and no longer strong,
So they may need to take a mask along.
But so many others still cover their face,
Well I guess they’re doing it, just in case.

But as for me, I really hate to put one on,
So I won’t do it unless I am forced upon.
Some places require us to wear one here,
Will we still be doing it in another year?
