FIRE IN THE BASEMENT

There’s a fire in the basement,
But no one even seems to care,
I try to warn all of the tenants,
But they give me a blank stare.

What’s wrong with the people?
Have they just lost their minds?
Quickly turning away from me,
They simply lower their blinds.

They do not sense the danger,
Tho smoke is rising in the sky,
Bewitched by something evil,
They’ve listened to Satan’s lie.

Now the basement is America,
Her foundation is truly on fire,
She has turned from the Lord,
And listens to that fiendish liar.

Behold there are so many sins,
That she flaunts in God’s face,
But as the fire consumes her,
She’ll no longer find her place.

Stricken by God and removed,
The whole world will wonder,
How that mighty country fell,
So violently and with thunder.

Wicked shall be turned to hell,
It is a warning from His Word,
God will judge the unrighteous,
In case you have never heard.

Thus don’t ignore the warning,
Get a right heart with the Lord,
Because the fiery wrath of God,
Isn’t something you can afford.
