FISH STORY

by Bill Kochman

08-29-2014

I saw a poignant movie,
It filled me with sad regret,
It was the story of a fish,
Caught in a trapper’s net.

Although in vain it struggled,
It so wanted to be free,
The minutes slowly passed by,
But it failed to reach the sea.

Then in great shock I realized,
That the poor fish indeed was I,
The Devil was the vile trapper,
Who had caught me with his lie.
