GROW!

by Bill Kochman

Now imagine if a baby,
Never grew to be a man,
Indeed it would be odd,
Certainly not God’s plan.

The same is true for us,
God’s work is in vain,
If we don’t grow in spirit,
Maturity we never gain.

Sucking on a milk bottle,
Just is not the end goal,
God wants to see fruit,
Like winning a new soul.

Some Christians refuse,
Slow in growth they are,
Bottle-fed by a pastor,
They won’t get very far.

Just nominal believers,
Their roots are not deep,
They worship for 1 hour,
Then fall back asleep.

Don’t dare be like them,
In understanding grow,
Let your faith blossom,
And let your fruit show.
