GROWING OLD

by Bill Kochman

12-20-2016

People at times reach an age,
Where they’re ready to let go,
They just get tired of living,
As their aches and pains grow.

Growing old is quite beautiful,
At least some folks like to say,
But for others it’s not so easy,
Trying to live even one more day.

So a thought enters their mind,
Should I just throw in the towel?
But God replies with firm voice,
“No, don’t you dare do it now.”
