HALF A BRICK SHORT

by Bill Kochman

12-12-2016

I could easily sit here all day,
Writing one poem after another,
Not sure where the gift came from,
But don’t think it was my mother.

The words just pop into my head,
That darn spigot cannot be shut,
Even though some things I write,
Make me appear like a total nut.

But that’s really okay by me,
Because I am having so much fun,
I’ll be laughing my way to Heaven,
When this tired, old life is done.
