HEART OF IRON

I really wanted to reach you,
And show you Salvation’s way,
But your heart is so hardened,
It doesn’t matter what I say.
God has given you many chances,
But His words fall on deaf ear,
You have no respect for Him,
The Lord you don’t seem to fear.
God has been so merciful to you,
He’s overlooked your every sin,
He offers you His forgiveness,
If you will only let Jesus in.
Tell me why you are so angry,
Did you suffer a terrible loss?
Please know that God did also,
When Jesus died on that Cross.
Now the Lord is very patient,
He gives time to see the Light,
But if you resist His Spirit,
You’ll face a terrible plight.
