HIT THE DIRT

There is no one-time victory,
In the life of a child of God,
If you think you’ve made it,
The Lord may pull out His rod.
Once you think you’ve arrived,
You will let down your guard,
The Devil will then attack you,
And you may go down very hard.
Every day is a constant battle,
You must remain so very alert,
Don’t dare get so darn cocky,
Or your face will hit the dirt.
