MONEY, POLITICS, RELIGION

by Bill Kochman

Money, politics, religion,
Don’t ever dare discuss,
For if you do, watch out,
Someone will make a fuss.

People with smiling faces,
Oh they all seem so kind,
Till you broach said topics,
They’ll hit you from behind.

Suddenly you see daggers,
Smiles turn to an evil hiss,
It’s time to make your exit,
And hope that they all miss.

Families become so divided,
Friendships just disappear,
When our opinions differ,
We just don’t want to hear.

So it is with us Christians,
Our message turns some away,
May God soften their hearts,
So they’ll be saved someday.
