MONEY-SUCKIN’ PREACHER

by Bill Kochman

07-28-2014

He had the looks and he had the style,
A money-suckin’ preacher on the TV dial.
He sounded so suave, he gave you a grin,
You wrote out a cheque, you sent it in.

He doesn’t really care about your soul,
All he really wants is to fill his bowl.
That lying wolf loves suckers like you,
He’ll ask for more till you’re in a stew.

You will lose your house and your car,
Keep givin’ to him and you won’t get far.
So turn off the telly, send him no more,
If he comes knockin’, don’t open the door.
