NEEDY CAT

I have such a needy cat,
She won’t leave me alone,
Maybe I would do better,
If I had a human clone.

Now whether I’m sleeping,
Or doing work at my desk,
My demanding lady feline,
Can really be such a pest.

She sits and stares at me,
Rubs her face on my hand,
My girl just will not let up,
Until I meet her demand.

Leading her to the kitchen,
To see just what she wants,
In typical feline fashion,
Away my kitty just jaunts.

So no emergency existed,
And I’m left without a clue,
This cat drives me so nuts,
What am I supposed to do?

Then there are those times,
When a bug is in the house,
She will meow and complain,
Until I put down my mouse.

Well, what does she expect?
I am just not ten feet tall,
That bug is on the ceiling,
I cannot be any help at all.

Such is life with my Polo,
She’s master, I’m her slave,
Yet despite her feistiness,
I will love her to the grave.
