NO MORE NASTY SWIPES

by Bill Kochman

12-07-2016

The tongue is an unruly member,
So clearly says the Holy Bible,
With it we spread vicious lies,
And commit both slander and libel.

We may think we will get away,
But God has a really big Book,
And there’s a very clear record,
Of each nasty swipe that we took.

So be smart, control your tongue,
And say something nice on this day,
For if you just keep on gossiping,
You will most surely have to pay.
