NOISE POLLUTION

by Bill Kochman

There is really so much noise,
In our fast-paced world today,
Everybody with their opinion,
Something they want to say.

It becomes so overwhelming,
As people strive to be heard,
A sea of never-ending voices,
Some of it is just plain absurd.

From every possible corner,
We are confronted with a view,
It is very hard to escape from,
That is, if we even wanted to.

Yes, it’s constant propaganda,
Flooding senses everywhere,
Some days it can be so loud,
You want to pull out your hair.

Politicians with some agenda,
Or a product you have to buy,
A miracle drug on the market,
MSM promoting one more lie.

You can simply put up with it,
Or be smart & do as I’ve done,
Find yourself some quiet spot,
A refuge where you can run.

Turn off TV, radio & cell phone,
Give your heart & mind a break,
Going on without any refueling,
Will surely be your big mistake.

Take some time with the Lord,
Let His word fill you with peace,
Close the door to your closet,
So worldly confusion will cease.
