NUKE BUDDIES

Lukashenko and Vlad Putin,
Oh yes, what a lovely pair,
They’ve got eyes on Ukraine,
Talk of nukes is in the air.

But surely it’s just bravado,
Nuclear war no one can win,
For there is no stopping it,
Should a conflict ever begin.

Mutually assured destruction,
It has such a wonderful sound,
By the time those bombs stop,
There’ll be no one left around.

Once humans leave the scene,
Rats and roaches will be kings,
Spiders, snakes and scorpions,
Other delightful creepy things.

Then as Nuclear Winter sets in,
And days grow so dark & cold,
Vegetation will soon die off,
And all life will lose its hold.

Now perhaps after many years,
An alien race will pass us by,
They’ll look down at our planet,
And wonder, just why, oh why?

A pretty jewel in the heavens,
Bestowed by the Almighty God,
Thru greed and pride destroyed,
Now just a scarred & ugly clod.
