OLD JOE

by Bill Kochman

We are coming down to the wire,
It is now just Joe Biden vs. Trump,
But old Joe has one big problem,
The man keeps falling on his rump.

Yet Joe’s troubles do not end there,
He gets a blank look on his face,
And then for a number of seconds,
Old Joe just stares off into space.

There is the invisible handshake,
As poor Joe gets rather confused,
It is indeed a very sad situation,
No one should really be amused.

We all recognize the symptoms,
Old age has clearly taken its toll,
Both the mind and body fall apart,
And we cease to be totally whole.

Now old Joe shouldn’t be blamed,
What befell him can befall us all,
Yet there is a country to be run,
Someone needs to make the call.

Remove the poor man from office,
Why do they even still let him run?
Joe is embarrassing our country,
His time in politics should be done.

Let him now retire with his dignity,
No more making himself the fool,
Those Dems should be ashamed,
For using old Joe as just their tool.
