OUTCAST

Now, if you are feeling rejected,
Know you are in good company,
The Lord was also an outcast,
During the very first century AD.

True, He had lots of followers,
Sometimes thousands of men,
But when the pressure was on,
We know what happened then.

Yes, they called Him Messiah,
Just as long as they were fed,
Yet when He was sent to Pilate,
They really wanted Him dead.

Jesus warned all the Apostles,
What would be their final fate,
By boldly preaching the Gospel,
Them the world would then hate.

Today it’s not so very different,
If the Gospel we boldly preach,
We will be attacked sometimes,
By the people we try to reach,

So just know you’re an outcast,
With a divine mission to fulfill,
And once your tasks are over,
You will live on God’s Holy Hill.
