Preach a socially-acceptable Gospel,
And you will probably do just fine,
But dare to speak some harder truths,
Networks will say you are out of line.
Oh, yes, they will assuredly love you,
If you blend in with a lukewarm crowd,
However, talk against false religions,
And they’ll say you are much too loud.
Now if you expose the LGBTQ agenda,
The networks will not just call you out,
If you keep on pushing their buttons,
Your time there will soon end in a rout.
Trust me, I speak from my experience,
I have been banned from a few to date,
They all claim they allow free speech,
But face it, the truth they really hate.
Now if you suppose I am just kidding,
Then go to Reddit and preach with fire,
Unless you’re quietly tip-toeing around,
Before too long you will raise their ire.
They’ll descend on you just like hawks,
Your posts they will not simply ignore,
So don’t be surprised if in short order,
You find yourself shown to the door.
Well Mastodon isn’t really much better,
You see, they’ve thrown me out twice,
But they don’t even hold the record,
Because Reddit banned me thrice.
Yet Biblical truth I will never abandon,
Yes, I will still continue to plug away,
Someday God will judge between us,
Networks won’t like what He has to say.
Political entities are notorious for keeping a precise record of everything their opponents have stated over the years. Then, when election season rolls around, out come the big guns, and accusations of hypocrisy, double-standards, etc., begin to fly, sometimes to the serious detriment of one opponent or another.
However, we all need to remember that we are all constantly learning and growing, and not everything is written in stone; particularly our thoughts, opinions and positions. They often change over time as we acquire new information, mature and grow.
This equally applies to politicians. They too are perfectly within their right to change course if need be. It really isn’t deception unless they are saying and promoting one thing in public, while actually believing something entirely different in private.
So, please slow down, and give people a break. Wouldn’t you want them to do the same for you if you changed your mind about something?
