WAR OF WORDS

by Bill Kochman

11-14-2023

Every day they mold your mind,
Yes, my friend, it is very true,
From sunrise through to sunset,
They are telling you what to do.

There is a great war of words,
Constantly bombarding your ear,
So if you want a word of advice,
Be careful with what you hear.

It arrives from every direction,
TV, radio, online and the press,
Shaping your view without end,
It’s like a mental game of chess.

The players try to convince you,
There is truth in what they say,
They all want you in their corner,
Believing there is no other way.

So you need to be very judicious,
Don’t just accept what they claim,
Follow due diligence and examine,
Don’t just be a pawn in their game.
