There is no requirement found anywhere in the New Testament Church pattern which demands that Christians tithe ten per cent of their earnings to a church, as used to be the case with the Roman Catholic Church. What the New Testament Church pattern does expect, is that those people who benefit spiritually from the work of the Lord’s servants, should in some fashion unselfishly support those servants, based upon their individual ability to give. The more one gives, the more they will be blessed in return by the Lord. This is the New Testament Church pattern regarding giving. It is done on a voluntary basis.
“And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.” Mark 12:41-44, KJV
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38, KJV
“And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.” Acts 11:28-30, KJV
“I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35, KJV
“It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.” Romans 15:27, KJV
“If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?” 1 Corinthians 9:11, KJV

“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:2, KJV
Please note that in 1 Timothy 6:20 above, the word “science” is derived from the Koine Greek word “gnosis”. This word is normally translated as “knowledge” in the New Testament of the King James version of the Bible. This is the only verse where it is actually translated as “science”, and I am not sure why the translator made this choice.
“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, KJV

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.” Revelation 19:11-14, KJV
In the world of men, they say shoot for the top,
Regardless of who we hurt, just don’t ever stop.
The strong take the prize, the weak are cast aside,
Friendships are skin-deep, it’s a very lonely ride.
Do what we must, to get the biggest piece of pie,
Everything is fair, just steal, deceive and lie.
It’s a cruel evil world, not the one made by God,
If we don’t run with them, they find it rather odd.
But we have a higher calling, chosen by the Lord,
And our code of conduct, is guided by His Word.
So let them run their rat race, it is all vanity,
We run to a different tune, that’s for eternity.
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Exodus 20:4-5, KJV
“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6-7, KJV

In fact, the hardhearted, unbelieving Jews were so blinded by hatred towards Jesus, consider what they said at the Lord’s trial:
“When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.” Matthew 27:24-25, KJV
