IT WILL BE DONE

It is really not too wise,
To place our confidence in men,
They always break their word,
In disappointment it will end.
Such is our weak human nature,
Man is still flawed at his best,
But God’s Word is so different,
We can always put it to the test.
When the Lord has said something,
It’s a fact that it will be done,
For as we read in Prophet Isaiah,
God even turned back the Sun.

IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?

Is it really worth it,
The way we slave away,
Making someone else rich,
Living on meager pay?
The elite rule this world,
While the crumbs we are fed,
They keep on raising prices,
And tax us till we’re dead.
But God has a Kingdom,
Where righteousness reigns,
Someday we’ll join Him there,
Be freed from all our pains.

Girls & boys, with their little toys,
At a tiny screen they love to stare,
It’s so small, I see nothing at all,
Makes me want to pull out my hair.
For a treat, desktops can’t be beat,
Tho’ they sometimes can be so mean,
But I just want, my great big font,
So on big ‘puters I am really keen.
Yeah keep your phone, out of my zone,
My big workhorse just suits me fine,
Go play, with your tiny thing all day,
While I do real serious work on mine.

INTERNET RUMORS

Beware of the Internet rumor,
So like a cat with nine lives,
Even though you try to kill it,
Yet that vile thing survives.
Once it’s let loose out there,
It spreads just like a disease,
And try hard as you may like,
You cannot stop it with ease.
So before you spread nonsense,
Take some time to think it out,
For rumors are like boomerangs,
They come back at you no doubt.

Has confused this generation.

What a devilish explanation.
Same-sex unification,
It’s an ungodly abomination.
Your marriage deviation,
Invites God’s condemnation.
No room for celebration,
It will bring your ruination.

Once we’re in Father’s Hand,
There is just no getting out,
Bible says we’re sealed for good,
Tho we kick, scream and shout.
I just can’t seem to get away,
Tho a few times I have tried,
I was enticed by man’s world,
Just to find out they all lied.
If God called you to do a job,
Don’t turn away from His Will,
For if you do, you will pay,
And life will be all uphill.

They will take your car,
Your lovely house too,

IN BED WITH THE DEVIL

Many Christians may not know it,
But with the Devil they’re in bed,
They’ve been deceived by this foe,
No, he’s not dressed all in red.
He always wears a wonderful smile,
And assures us that he’s a friend,
But watch out for that deceiver,
He’ll backstab you in the end.
He controls the world’s money,
Mass media and entertainment too,
He hates the name of Jesus Christ,
Yes, my friend, it’s you-know-who.

IMPERISHABLE CROWN

Kings of old fought in many wars,
Protected by their weapon stores.
Shields, helmets, swords and more,
Keeping their crown was a chore.
Enemies many wanted king’s throne,
Just to make that crown their own.
But short-sighted were those men,
Never thinking about living again.
Blinded by what was before eyes,
Always believing Satan’s old lies.
No hope for an imperishable crown,
Never seeing God’s Heavenly Town.

IF THERE WAS NO BIBLE

Even if there was no Holy Bible,
I would still believe in my God,
As a logically thinking person,
To think otherwise would be odd.
The natural world surrounds us,
And is a testimony of His love,
Man can make a car or building,
But not a planet or star above.
The very mathematical perfection,
Is clearly an irrefutable sign,
That this remarkable Universe,
Resulted from Intelligent Design.

I’M SO SORRY, LUCY

I am so very sorry dear Lucy,
Your story doesn’t fit the bill,
Though they tried to convince us,
Evo’ ladder you just don’t fill.
But what I found most alarming,
Scientists taken by your spell,
If they were deceived so quickly,
How can common folks really tell?
So I will just accept the Bible,
It makes human creation so plain,
But as far as so-called evolution,
I really find it flat out insane.

I am so free, free, free,
Death has no hold over me,
Tho I leave behind my body,
Yet I shall live for Eternity.
Jesus Christ paid the price,
And washed away all my sins,
The Lord rose from the dead,
Now a New Life for me begins.

You are kicked out the door,
Only happy and free in Heaven,
Where I will live forever more.

I WILL NOT FEAR

We find ourselves in a race,
To see what kills us first,
Will it be climate change,
Or a powerful solar burst?
So much disease, famine too,
Many millions die each year,
We take unborn innocent lives,
But few will even shed a tear.
Maybe all the wars we fight,
Will erase humanity someday,
Button pushed, hope is lost,
Earth fades from blue to gray.
Some claim our own machines,
Will result in man’s demise,
Yet others point to a threat,
That will come from the skies.
Earthquakes too may do us in,
Seas rise beyond their shore,
A lot of ways for us to die,
No doubt you’ll think of more.
So many things for us to fear,
No wonder people are on edge,
One thing or perhaps another,
Will push us over the ledge.
But as for me I will not fear,
For God surely knows my fate,
Thus I will live day by day,
Till I pass thru Heavenly Gate.
His peace reigns in my heart,
I trust He knows what’s best,
Being afraid is to no avail,
So I won’t fear like the rest.

I LIKE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL

Please don’t take offense,
But I like rock ‘n’ roll,
Not the Devil’s foul music,
The kind that fills my soul.
You see, Jesus is my Rock,
He’s as solid as can be,
The roll’s the Book of Life,
And I’m in it for eternity.
Don’t dare resist the Rock,
When He begins to roll,
Else He’ll grind & smash you,
And you’ll end up in a hole.

I know what you really want,
It’s no reason to feel shame,
Someone to love with all your heart,
Hoping to you they’ll do the same.
Someone you can support and comfort,
Whenever they feel down and sad,
And they will likewise reciprocate,
Making your discouraged heart glad.
Someone to whom you can be committed,
Even though you see their every flaw,
And despite knowing your weaknesses,
They too will always hold you in awe.
You want a relationship that lasts,
And doesn’t fail when pressure’s on,
You’re both in it for the long haul,
No matter what troubles come along.
I really do know what you want,
And it is not a short-term game,
But just in case you’re wondering,
Darling, yes, I too feel the same.

Is it really too much to ask?

Which united us both as one,

I JUST DON’T WORRY

An earthquake could hit at any time,
A typhoon might blow us off the map,
Our local economy is really in ruins,
But I think I’ll just go take a nap.
“WHAT?!” you say. “Don’t you worry,
At least the slightest little bit?”
“If I were you I would cower in fear,
And probably just go and quit.”
No, my friend, I really don’t,
‘Cause worrying won’t change a thing,
I just have to trust in the Lord,
No matter what tomorrow may bring.

I AM SQUARE

I am square, and I don’t care,
If you think I’m out of date.
I will give a nod, to my God,
Because He controls my fate.
Okay fine, here is my line,
Your world’s just second rate.
If you laugh, and be so daft,
You will cry outside the Gate.
But you can win, just take Him,
Reject that old Devil’s bait,
Accept God’s love, from above,
Farewell to the serpent’s hate.
