In the New Testament Scriptures, the words “sanctify”, “sanctification” and “holy” are derived from the Koine Greek words “hagiazo”, “hagios” and “hagiasmos”, which mean to dedicate, consecrate and set apart for service to God. This is what Saints are. We are separated from the world, in order to serve the Lord.
The Well of the Spirit, it runs so deep,
Life-giving waters for those who weep.
Endless, boundless, it never runs out,
Filling us with faith and never a doubt.
Refreshing, inspiring, pleasing our soul,
Binding all wounds, and making us whole.
Man’s water is bottled, sold for a fee,
Jesus paid a Price, God’s water is free.
Come, drink now, partake of this delight,
Fill with the Spirit, bathe in the Light.
Put down your burden, partake of this cup,
If you wait too long, your time will be up.
“For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” Romans 14:7-7, KJV
“The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” Psalm 90:10, KJV
“Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.” John 7:6, KJV
“According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.” Philippians 1:20-26, KJV
“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.” 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, KJV
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27, KJV
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6, KJV
“Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.” Ecclesiastes 9:10, KJV
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31, KJV
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:34, KJV
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14, KJV
The bottom line is that we should not be worried about when we will die, or how we will die. We should simply live each day for the Lord, and trust God for our future, knowing that whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s, and our place in His Kingdom is secured through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
I wanted to write something personal,
Yes, my friend, it is meant just for you,
Just a small word of encouragement,
God knows what you’re going through.
While sometimes things seem so dark,
You really don’t have anything to fear,
For God remains in absolute control,
Just wait & He will dry your every tear.
Please hold on fast despite the waves,
And the winds which buffet your faith,
Don’t mind the thunder and lightening,
The Lord will lead you to a harbor safe.
Then all the trials you’re going through,
Will suddenly seem so extremely small,
And as you laugh you will come to see,
You really had no reason to worry at all.
