PESTS OR PETS?

by Bill Kochman

01-18-2017

Imagine if God treated us,
The way we treat many a pest,
I’m talking about those bugs,
Which we all seem to detest.

Squish! There goes a spider,
Swat! I just smashed a fly,
Crunch! Got that centipede,
Before it crawls where I lie.

It’s really quite amazing,
How quickly things can change,
From something nasty to nice,
When one letter we rearrange.

Thus, we are not God’s pests,
Though some think this is so,
God loves us so very dearly,
This He wants us all to know.

His Word says we are His pets,
And not pests, no, not at all,
That is why He sent us Jesus,
So we hear the Salvation call.
